Unlike any and all social media, brands actually own their email subscriber list & aren't subject to the finicky algorithm gods in this space. Having a font that's more ADA compliant (Americans with Disabilities Act) and more readable & accessible very likely helps TikTok not get banned in the US. And having a unique, bespoke font subconsciously signals to us visually that TikTok is different than other platforms.
